Menstrual Hygiene Day — Thank You!
Our May fundraiser with The MoonCatcher Project was a joyful success. Across two days, we danced with students in Malawi, friends in Albany and Berlin, and folks tuning in from Zoom around the world. Thank you to everyone who showed up, moved, and gave.
MoonCatcher is still raising funds for menstrual kits and education — your donation still makes a difference.
About The MoonCatcher Project
This May, we danced with students from Malawi and raising support for The MoonCatcher Project. MoonCatcher provides reusable menstrual kits and education to girls in developing countries, helping them stay in school and thrive in their communities.
Around the world, millions of girls miss school every month because they lack access to menstrual products. MoonCatcher's kits last for years and come with health education that breaks the stigma around menstruation. Their work keeps girls in the classroom and builds confidence in their communities.
Two Amazing Events
Wednesday Morning on Zoom
Wednesday, May 27, 2026
Almost 20 of us gathered on Zoom for a morning dance party, joined by about 80 students from a class in Malawi. What a way to start the day! The energy was incredible, and dancing together across continents felt like exactly the kind of connection this work is all about.
Friday Evening, Live and on Zoom
Friday, May 29, 2026
About 50 people joined in person across Albany and Berlin, plus more dancers from Zoom, including Mzati! Video kept us beautifully connected across locations. Enthusiastic dancers of all agest brought the energy, and the room was full of wonderful crafts and colors. There was a generous spread of refreshments and goodies, and the music? People loved the music. It was, simply, a blast.
